Damascus, or “pattern welding”, is the process by which two different forms of steel are forge-welded to become one, single piece. Named after the capitol of Syria where the form became popular, Damascus can come in an unlimited number of varieties and styles. These bracelets are made from 1095 high-carbon steel, and 15n20 allow steel. The two steels are heated, folded, and forged under a power hammer. After being etched in acid, the two types of steel create a stunning contrast.
