Terminus Forge

In 1836, the Western Atlantic Railway and the Georgia Railroad were joined, which became known as the “Terminus” point. More regional rail lines were built to serve the interstate rails, and the small, six-building settlement ballooned into an industrial metropolis. Terminus quickly became the central transportation hub of the southeast. Although the City changed its name to Atlanta in 1845, the culture and symbols of Terminus live on to this day. Atlanta’s soccer team embraces the train as a symbol of strength, the recently developed belt line trail utilizes an old regional rail line, and freight train whistles can still be heard throughout the City at all hours of the day. Each piece of steel forged by Terminus Forge serves as an homage to Atlanta’s rich railroad history.

Terminus Forge was founded in 2015 by Atlanta native Keith Weisinger. Seeking a respite from the sedentary life of practicing law, Keith invested in a single hammer, a small Atwood anvil, and two-burner propane forge. As his passion for the craft grew, so did his shop. Today, Terminus Forge boasts a fully equipped blacksmith shop capable of forging small and large pieces alike.

Terminus Forge takes custom orders for hammers, knives, and other tools. Jewelry and small, miscellaneous items are available on our shop page:
